Huge surge earlier today

Today saw a surge of 1.34 metres in the Blackwater River area. Thankfully it was at low-water and on neap tides. However, with spring tides building through the course of next week, we must all be vigilant... because if that surge had hit towards the end of next week and coincided with a high tide, then we WOULD have some major over-topping issues, and quite possibly full blown breaches.

Please use the tide tables and live surge tide data within the 'Useful Links' area of this website.
